  An incredible find and worth the trip to beautiful Carleton Place! Fabulous cuisine with superb wine pairing by the in house sommelier. Attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere. Duck breast and lamb rack are superb. Will be back again and again.... and definitely again after that.

  Excellent!!! Food, ambiance and hospitality are all top notch. Fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere without the pretentiousness. Ian and his team are most gracious hosts and clearly know what they're doing. Not only worth the trip to Carleton Place but a must!

  Black Tartan Kitchen is a gem, the food is delicious, made with fresh ingredients and well presented. The mushroom risotto is to die for, creamy, unctuous, with bold flavours.
  The decor is simple with old picture of Carleton place on the walls.
  They have a sommelier, who can help with your wine selection, and they now offer on Tuesday night bring your own wine. (corking fees)
  All in all I recommend the Black Tartan Kitchen.
  
  PS: Ask for they in house Cocktail.
